Debmalya moved to Seattle in 2006. Once he got accustomed to the weather he grew fondness with the beautiful state of WA and it's liberal minded people. His school friend (one of the co-founders) seeded the idea of a theater group and he did not give a second thought . Debmalya assists the group with administrative and accounting responsibilities. He works as a software developer and is inspired by the prolific team players of Seattle Theaterwala.
Ratula grew up watching her father perform on stage as a professional theater artist, and later as an amateur one. As a child, Ratula regularly took part in school plays and acted in some of her father's productions. Later, theater took a back seat as she focused more on studies and pursued other interests. After moving to Seattle, her love for drama reached new heights as she got actively involved in the local Bengali drama scene. Lately, she got the opportunity to act in a couple of movies that was a huge learning curve for her.
A Technical writer by day, she looks forward to spending her free time with her family, specially with her young son. Ratula loves to cook, listen to music, party with friends, and admires the breathtaking landscape of Washington state whenever she gets the slightest chance!
Rumela Ganguly has been a native of Seattle since 2004. Through an ongoing pursuit of self discovery and quite by chance, she found her passion in theater. Actively involved with the stage for the past 7 or 8 years, she has performed with two or more Bengali theater groups in Seattle. Actively involved with "Aaina", she has performed in "Yoni Ki Baat" (a South Asian adaptation of The Vagina Monologues) in 2013 and co-directed YKB in 2014.
Currently an integral part of Seattle Theaterwala since its inception, she has been in several of their productions. "Tahar Naamti Ranjana" (Her name is Ranjana); "Body Shopping", "Musical Chair" and "Maa" (The Mother)....to name a few.
Her independent directorial debut was in 2015, with "Jaysa Ka Taysa" a Bengali musical set in the late 19th century.
In her life away from theater, she is a mom who loves to hike, hang out with friends and travel.
Sandip, a University of Washington researcher by profession, loves to do painting and listen music. He loves what he does behind the scenes.He is very proud to be associated with Seattle Theaterwala.
Subrata is passionate about drama and music since his childhood. He organized, directed and acted various amateur skits and plays while he was studying at college. He moved to Seattle in 2013 to work for Microsoft. Joining Seattle Theaterwala board is the next big step towards his passion to act and organize drama in larger scale. Recently he acted in the Seattle Theaterwala production drama "MAA"(The Mother).
Sujay, a computational biologist at the University of Washington, has a strong passion for playwriting, acting and directing, especially in Bengali as the native speaker. He is one of the founding members of Seattle Theaterwala, a cultural theater group. Sujay dreams of his group to serve as a multi-ethnic platform to boost cross-cultural exchange, awareness and enrichment.

Sukanya has been a resident of Seattle for a little more than 19 years where she lives with her husband, 2 kids and her dog. She has been formally trained in Indian classical dance and music and has been a stage performer since her childhood. However,she found a new interest in theater when she first got introduced to a local theater group in 1998. Thus started a new journey following a new passion. She has performed in several productions since then and looks forward to several more in the future. She enjoys being actively involved in the cultural arena and loves teaching kids
Supratim moved to Seattle in 2010 after living 10 years in Los Angeles. Supratim has been an outdoor person throughout his life and felt right at home in the midst of the natural beauty of the Puget Sound region. Indian classical music is a passion for Supratim. In L.A. and in Madison before that, he dabbled in north Indian classical vocal training. Creative writing is the other interest Supratim maintained throughout the years. But it was in Madison, Wisconsin where he first discovered his passion for drama and acting on stage. There in Madison, in 2000, Supratim did his very first acting gig, the lead role in the staging of Manoj Mitra's "Kak-Choritro". The love of drama never left him after that. Later he acted in various other drama productions including "Jaisa ke Taisa" from Seattle Theaterwala.
